Version
7.1.5
For version 7.0 and above, the Connected Agent Service must run under a user login name with rights to the mapped drive. Typically this will be a local user of the machine with administrator rights.
If the software is alreadys installed on your computer you will need to make these changes to the Connected Agent Service.
During the installation make sure you change the Agent Service Account from LOCAL SYSTEM to a user account:
Clicking the Change button will bring up a dialog box to specify the User account:
You can normally use the current Login Name which will be the user logged in and enter the password (same as the Windows password). This user should have administrator rights on the local machinge and login to Windows with a password. If you do not have a password you will need to create one through the User management tool in Windows.
Click OK and then Install. After the installation is complete you should be able to see your network drives in the backup view. You may need to reselect them by going to Advanced Backup Rules -> Drives and removing the red X.
If you do not see the drives you may need to reboot the machine to stop the Agent Service and restart it.
Changing the Service Through System Toools
If you are comfortable with Services you can make this change directly to the Connected Agent Services through the Windows management screen instead of running the install. |
